acai bowl

Ingredients
3 frozen bananas
2 tbsp acai powder
1/4 C unsweetened almond milk
2-3 ice cubes
1 tsp flax seed
1 C frozen berries
Acai is a popular super food known for it's impressive health benefits and can be a great addition to your diet. Acai berries are extremely high in antioxidants and can help to detoxify the body aiding in healthy digestion, weight loss, glowing skin and cellular health. Try adding acai to your regular diet for an everyday energy and immune boost.
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until you reach a desired consistency. I prefer a super smooth ice cream like consistency but there is no right or wrong with this recipe just blend until you are happy with the texture. Depending on your blender you may have to stop a few times to loosen the mixture along the way.
Empty into two bowls and top with walnuts, shredded coconut, and chopped fruit or berries.
Tip: This makes a killer smoothie as well if you're on the go. Add a splash of water and blend to desired consistency. Throw a straw in it and you're good to go!
