the ultimate pizza dough

**makes 2 thin pizza crusts

Ingredients

2 1/2 - 3/4 C all purpose flour
1 tbsp white sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp instant yeast
1 tbsp olive oil
1 C warm water

This fool proof dough delivers the best pizza you'll ever make! A crunchy yet chewy crust makes the perfect base for all your favorite toppings.

Combine warm water, sugar, salt and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes or until it starts to look frothy.

Add the olive oil and flour as you begin to mix. If using a kitchen aid mixer let everything come together and knead on low speed for about 5 minutes. The dough will pull away from the bowl but will be sticky. If too sticky or dry add more or less flour to achieve the right consistency.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap followed by a tea towel. The idea is to keep the dough warm so it can rise. Let the dough sit for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Cut the dough into 2 or 3 equal pieces depending on the size of pizzas you like to make. Keep one out and wrap the other pieces well in plastic wrap or a ziplock. I like to label mine and freeze, so I always have some on hand.

For a crispy pizza crust bake at 550F for 10 minutes.
